About Dr. Clay

Dr. Lisa Clay founded Monarch Medicine Urgent Care with a clear mission: to bring compassionate, physician-led healthcare back to the forefront of urgent care. After years of witnessing patients navigate overcrowded emergency rooms and impersonal clinic experiences, she envisioned a different kind of practice—one where every patient receives same-day access to a board-certified physician, honest answers to their questions, and the personalized attention that healthcare should always provide.

Dr. Clay is a board-certified family physician with extensive experience across the full spectrum of primary and urgent care medicine. Her clinical expertise spans acute illness and injury treatment, preventive care, chronic disease management, pediatric care, women's health, and occupational medicine. She holds her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in family medicine, where she developed her patient-centered approach to care. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, she remains committed to advancing excellence in family medicine and staying current with the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines.

When Dr. Clay opened Monarch Medicine in Carmel, Indiana, she built the practice around the principles she believes every patient deserves: minimal wait times, transparent pricing, and direct access to a physician who listens. She personally oversees the clinical care delivered at Monarch Medicine and has assembled a team that shares her commitment to treating every patient like family.
