WHAT THIS PAGE COVERS
Tdap Booster & Immunity Titers
For compliance forms, healthcare program enrollment, employer requirements, or personal records. Walk in or schedule online — a Monarch physician reviews your specific form before treatment.
Tdap Booster
Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (acellular)
Tdap is currently stocked at Monarch. Common reasons patients need it: compliance form for a healthcare program, employer requirement, recent injury that needs tetanus protection, expecting parents and household contacts of newborns, or a 10-year booster that has come due.
What happens at the visit: A Monarch physician reviews your form or reason and confirms Tdap is appropriate. The vaccine is administered by physician-led clinical staff and documented for your records. Most visits take about 20 minutes.
Immunity Titers
MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B (and others on request)
Titer draws are blood tests that confirm immunity to specific diseases. Healthcare students and workers commonly need them for clinical placement and employment compliance. Common titers: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B.
What happens at the visit: Monarch draws the blood sample in-office and sends it to LabCorp for processing. Results return through MyChart in roughly 2 to 5 business days — timing can vary.
If your form requires both Tdap and titers, we can usually complete the Tdap injection during the same visit as the blood draw, depending on which titers your form requires.
VACCINES WE DON'T GIVE
Where to Go for Other Vaccines
We do not stock the following vaccines — we will tell you that before you make the trip and point you in the right direction:
Flu shots and COVID-19 vaccines → Local pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Meijer) routinely carry these and can often bill insurance directly. If your form asks for unusual antibody testing, call us first so we can confirm whether it is available through LabCorp.
MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B vaccines → Local pharmacies or your primary care office. We do not give these vaccines, but we DO draw the titers to confirm immunity if your form requires that route.
Travel vaccines (yellow fever, typhoid, Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis A, rabies, others) → IU Health Travel Clinic or Passport Health. Travel medicine is a specialty area we do not cover.
Pediatric well-child immunizations (DTaP series, MMR series, etc.) → Your child's pediatrician. Routine childhood vaccinations belong with the doctor managing your child's growth and development.
If you are not sure whether Monarch can help with what your form requires, call us at (317) 804-4203 first. We will help you sort it out before you make the trip.

FROM DR. CLAY
Reading the Form Before You Make the Trip
Compliance paperwork is unforgiving. The form says “MMR titer required.” The form says “Tdap within the past ten years.” The form says “Hepatitis B series complete.” If the documentation is wrong, you make a second trip.
A Monarch physician reads your form before we draw blood or give a shot. We confirm what your school, employer, or program actually wants — sometimes a titer, sometimes a vaccine, sometimes both. Then we order the right thing.
Tdap can be administered during the visit. Titer results travel back through LabCorp and arrive in MyChart in a few business days. We send the documentation back to you so you can submit it with confidence.
WHO COMES IN FOR TDAP & TITERS
Common Reasons Patients Visit
Healthcare Programs
Nursing students, medical assistant programs, EMT/paramedic training, dental hygiene, and other clinical compliance — usually requires Tdap plus MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B titers. We work with CastleBranch, Complio, and similar compliance platforms.
Employer & Onboarding
Employees starting healthcare-adjacent roles (childcare, schools, food service, daycare workers, hospital admin) — common requirements include Tdap booster confirmation and selected titers. Bring your employer's form.
Personal & Family
Adults may need a Tdap booster every 10 years, after certain wounds, or before close contact with a newborn if they are not up to date. Pregnant patients should follow their OB's recommendation for Tdap timing during pregnancy.
TRANSPARENT PRICING
Clear In-Office Pricing Before Treatment
How compliance pricing works: An office visit is required for all compliance services so a Monarch physician can review your form and order the right test or vaccine. The prices below are added to the office visit fee. LabCorp bills lab work separately for titers. We review the expected total with you before treatment begins. HSA and FSA accepted.
Office Visit (required base fee)
| Office visit (new patient, low-level) | $153.30 |
| Office visit (established patient, low-level) | $105.70 |
Compliance Services
| Tdap vaccine (added to office visit) | $88.46 |
| Titer draw fee (office visit required, LabCorp bills separately) | $8.40 |
Titer pricing covers Monarch's blood draw fee. The lab cost (the actual titer test processed by LabCorp) is billed by LabCorp separately. Most patients see two separate charges: one from Monarch and one from LabCorp.
For Insured Patients
We are in network with Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Encore/IU Health Plans. We are NOT in network with Medicaid or Humana. Coverage may apply for compliance-required vaccines and titers, depending on your plan, deductible, and benefits.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Compliance Vaccinations & TB Testing FAQ
Do you give flu shots?
No. Flu vaccine is best handled by a pharmacy — CVS, Walgreens, Kroger. They stock seasonal vaccine at higher volume than we can, and they bill insurance directly. We refer you there so you save time and money.
Why don't you offer most vaccines?
Vaccines require strict temperature control, careful inventory rotation, and high enough volume to justify the cost of expired doses. A single-clinic urgent care can't do that as well as a pharmacy chain. We carry Tdap because employers and schools require it on demand. The rest, your pharmacy does better.
My school requires Quantiferon-TB Gold — do you do that?
Yes.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Tdap & Titers FAQ
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any time during open hours: Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 12pm. Booking online through MyChart is also available if you prefer to hold a time slot.
What should I bring?
Bring the form your school, employer, or program requires — this tells us exactly what to order. Also bring your photo ID, insurance card if applicable, and any prior immunization records you have. Without the form, we can usually still complete a Tdap booster, but titer requirements vary by program.
Is Tdap currently in stock?
Yes. As of this page's last review date, Tdap is stocked. Stock can change, so call (317) 804-4203 if you are coming from a distance and want to confirm before the trip.
How long do titer results take?
Titer results typically return in 2 to 5 business days through MyChart, but timing can vary based on the specific titer and LabCorp processing volume. We notify you when results are ready and can fax them directly to your school or employer if requested.
Will I see two separate bills?
Usually, yes. Monarch bills the office visit and our blood draw fee. LabCorp bills the actual lab cost for processing your titer separately. We tell you the Monarch portion before treatment; LabCorp's charge depends on your insurance and the specific titers ordered.
Do you give MMR, Varicella, or Hepatitis B vaccines?
No. We do not stock these vaccines. We DO draw the titers to confirm immunity if your form requires that route. For the actual vaccines, your primary care office or a local pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Meijer) is the right place.
Do you give flu shots or COVID-19 vaccines?
No. Flu and COVID vaccines are routinely available at local pharmacies that can often bill insurance directly. If your form asks for unusual flu or COVID antibody testing, call us first so we can confirm whether it is available through LabCorp.
Can you do my child's well-child immunizations?
No. Routine childhood vaccines belong with your pediatrician. We are urgent care — we don't maintain pediatric vaccine series.
What if my form also requires TB testing?
We offer TB testing on a separate page so we can explain the options clearly: TB Testing in Carmel. If you are a healthcare student, the bundled service is on our Healthcare Student Physicals page. We can usually combine compliance services into one visit when scheduling allows.
Do you accept insurance?
We are in network with Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Encore/IU Health Plans. We are NOT in network with Medicaid or Humana. Coverage may apply, depending on your plan, deductible, and benefits. HSA and FSA accepted. Self-pay rates are listed above.
How does the PPD work?
A PPD test is two office visits. The first visit is the injection placement. You return 48 to 72 hours later for the read — that part takes about five minutes and is a walk-in. Both visits and the read are included in the $100 PPD price.
If your healthcare program requires a two-step PPD, we do not offer that. Many programs accept QuantiFERON-TB Gold as an equivalent — QuantiFERON is a one-visit blood test, and CDC notes it is preferred for people with prior BCG vaccine history. Ask your program coordinator if QuantiFERON satisfies the requirement before scheduling.
What if my titer comes back non-immune?
Your physician reads the result and tells you what to do next. For most non-immune titers, the next step is the booster vaccine at a pharmacy and either a re-titer or documentation of the booster on your school form. We coordinate the next step with you so nothing falls through the cracks.
Can I get my Tdap and TB test in the same visit?
Yes. Tdap, TB testing, and titer draws can be combined in one office visit. Note that PPD requires a follow-up read 48 to 72 hours later, and QuantiFERON and titer results are returned through LabCorp and MyChart after processing. If you also need a healthcare student physical, that fits in the same visit.
Do you accept insurance for these services?
We accept Anthem BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Encore/IU Health Plans. We are not in network with Medicaid or Humana. Self-pay rates are listed in the pricing section above.
