WHAT VIB IS

A Physician-Formulated Wellness Injection

VIB is a single intramuscular injection containing three nutrients selected by a physician for general wellness support: glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc. The injection is administered in your arm or hip and takes about 15 minutes from check-in to leaving the office.

VIB is offered as a cash-pay wellness service. It is not a medical treatment for illness, infection, or chronic conditions. It is not insurance-billable. We will tell you what each ingredient does in the body and what we cannot promise about outcomes.

HONEST DISCLOSURE

What VIB Is Not

Wellness injections are easy to overpromise. We would rather tell you what VIB is not, so you can decide whether it fits what you are looking for.

Not FDA-approved as a product. VIB is not an FDA-approved drug or therapy. The individual ingredients — glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc — have documented physiologic roles in the body, but the combined injection is not FDA-approved and has not been reviewed by FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality as a combined product.

Not a treatment for illness or infection. If you have a cold, the flu, COVID, strep, sinus infection, UTI, or any other active illness, VIB is not the right care. Walk in for urgent care evaluation instead.

Not a cure or prevention claim. We cannot promise that a VIB injection will prevent illness, shorten recovery, or change clinical outcomes. Patients sometimes describe feeling better after treatment; some patients do not notice a difference.

Not for chronic conditions or ongoing management. Chronic fatigue, autoimmune conditions, persistent low energy, or unexplained symptoms belong with your primary care doctor, a specialist, or a more thorough workup — not a wellness injection.

Not a substitute for ER care. Severe symptoms, dehydration that needs IV fluids, anaphylaxis, or any medical emergency belongs in an emergency room.

Not insurance-covered. VIB is a cash-pay wellness service. HSA and FSA cards may not be eligible because VIB is not a medically necessary treatment — check with your benefits administrator.

If you came here looking for treatment of a specific condition, call us at (317) 804-4203 first. We will help you decide whether urgent care, your PCP, or another option fits better than VIB.

FROM DR. CLAY

Why We Offer VIB

Wellness injections are everywhere now. They are also easy to oversell. So I want to be clear about why VIB is on the menu at Monarch.

VIB is a cash-pay injection of three nutrients with documented physiologic roles in the body. We make it available because some patients want a physician-supervised option for a wellness injection. We do not market it as a treatment, a cure, or an immunity guarantee — because it is not.

A Monarch physician reviews your health history, current medications, allergies, and any conditions before the injection. If VIB is not appropriate for you, we will tell you that. If you are dealing with a real medical concern, we will route you to urgent care, your primary doctor, or the right specialist instead.

WHAT'S IN A VIB INJECTION

Three Nutrients, One Intramuscular Injection

Each VIB delivers a balanced combination of glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc. Each nutrient has documented roles in the body. We describe the role each one plays. We do not claim the combination produces specific clinical outcomes — the evidence for that is limited.

Glutathione

Antioxidant role

Glutathione is an antioxidant the body produces naturally. It plays a role in cellular detoxification pathways and antioxidant balance. Oral glutathione supplements have low bioavailability. Intramuscular injection provides higher delivery, though we do not claim a specific clinical outcome from a single injection.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Essential nutrient

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin involved in collagen synthesis, antioxidant activity, and normal immune cell function. Most adults can meet vitamin C needs through diet. Intramuscular delivery provides supplementation outside the digestive tract; we do not claim it improves outcomes more than dietary or oral sources for healthy adults.

Zinc

Essential mineral

Zinc is an essential mineral involved in normal immune function, wound healing, and protein synthesis. Adult zinc deficiency is uncommon in the U.S. but does occur. We do not claim a single zinc-containing injection corrects deficiency or changes immune outcomes in patients who are not deficient.

Educational only. Each ingredient has documented physiologic roles in the body; that is not the same as evidence the combination produces specific clinical outcomes. A Monarch physician will review whether VIB is appropriate for you.

SUITABILITY

Who VIB May Be Appropriate For

VIB is offered to generally healthy adults seeking a physician-supervised wellness injection. A Monarch physician reviews your specific situation before treatment. If VIB is not appropriate, we will tell you and recommend the right next step.

VIB May Fit If You

  • ✓ Want a physician-supervised wellness injection in an urgent care medical office
  • ✓ Are generally healthy and prefer cash-pay options
  • ✓ Want a single visit rather than an ongoing program
  • ✓ Recently recovered from an illness and want to discuss whether a wellness injection is appropriate after symptoms have resolved
  • ✓ Are preparing for or returning from travel
  • ✓ Want clear in-office pricing before treatment

VIB May Not Be Right If

  • ⚠ You are actively sick — urgent care evaluation comes first
  • ⚠ You have kidney disease or are on hemodialysis
  • ⚠ You are pregnant or nursing — consult your OB first
  • ⚠ You have a known allergy to any VIB component
  • ⚠ You are on antibiotics for active infection
  • ⚠ You are seeking treatment for chronic fatigue or unexplained symptoms — this needs a workup, not a wellness injection
  • ⚠ You are looking for an FDA-approved therapy — VIB is not

A Monarch physician confirms suitability before treatment. We do not bill insurance for VIB. If something we discuss during intake suggests you need clinical evaluation rather than a wellness injection, we will recommend that instead.

EVIDENCE-BASED BENEFITS

How VIB Supports Your Health

Strengthened Immune Defense

Vitamin C and zinc work synergistically to support white blood cell production and T-cell function, helping your immune system respond more effectively to pathogens.

Complete Bioavailability

Intramuscular delivery bypasses the digestive system entirely, achieving absorption rates that oral supplements cannot match — particularly important for patients with GI conditions.

Physician Oversight

Every treatment is administered in a licensed urgent care facility under Dr. Clay's medical supervision, ensuring proper dosing, contraindication screening, and clinical safety.

Reduced Oxidative Stress

Glutathione neutralizes free radicals at the cellular level, supporting your body's natural detoxification processes and protecting against oxidative damage.

Faster Recovery

Whether recovering from an acute infection, post-surgical healing, or general fatigue, VIB's nutrient combination supports tissue repair and energy restoration.

Sustained Energy

Vitamin C enhances iron absorption and supports mitochondrial energy production, addressing fatigue at its biochemical source rather than masking symptoms.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

VIB FAQ

Is VIB FDA-approved?

No. VIB is not an FDA-approved drug or therapy. The individual ingredients — glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc — have documented physiologic roles in the body, but the combined injection has not been reviewed by FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality as a combined product. We do not claim VIB treats, prevents, or cures any condition.

Is VIB an IV?

No. VIB is an intramuscular (IM) injection — a single injection in your arm or hip. It is not an IV drip and not an infusion. We do not run IV vitamin therapy at Monarch.

Will VIB make me feel better?

We cannot promise that. Some patients describe feeling better after a VIB injection. Some patients do not notice a difference. We do not have evidence that the combination of glutathione, vitamin C, and zinc produces specific clinical outcomes for healthy adults. If you are looking for a guaranteed result, VIB is not the right service.

Will VIB prevent me from getting sick?

We cannot make that claim. VIB does not prevent illness. If your goal is to avoid getting sick, the most evidence-based steps are hand washing, staying current on recommended vaccines, sleeping well, eating reasonably, and managing stress — not a wellness injection.

I am sick right now. Should I get VIB?

No. If you are actively sick, walk in for an urgent care evaluation instead. We will assess what is going on, run rapid testing if appropriate, and recommend treatment for whatever you have. VIB is not a treatment for cold, flu, COVID, strep, or any infection.

How often can I get VIB?

VIB is intended for occasional use. There is no recommended ongoing schedule because we do not have evidence that ongoing use produces additive benefit. A Monarch physician can discuss your specific situation if you are considering more than one session.

Is VIB covered by insurance?

No. VIB is a cash-pay wellness service and not billed to insurance. HSA and FSA cards may not be eligible because VIB is not medically necessary — check with your benefits administrator before submitting.

Are there side effects?

Possible side effects include injection site soreness, mild bruising, brief lightheadedness, or allergic reaction in patients with sensitivity to any component. A Monarch physician reviews allergies and medical history before treatment. Severe reactions are uncommon. If you have a history of allergic reactions to vitamins or sulfite preservatives, tell us before treatment.

Can my child get VIB?

VIB is offered to adults only. Children with nutritional concerns belong with their pediatrician. Wellness injections in children are not part of pediatric urgent care.
